Built in wood pine by the Pedriicos yard in Lisbon, the Albarquel was the first Portuguese coaster to be equipped with an engine from the moment it was built. Originally designed for the transport of salt between the Salines of the Sado and the Portuguese ports, this sailboat has gone through many periods and renovations, becoming a pleasure boat to travel in North Europe, in South America and beyond.

Since 2023, the Albarquel has sailed in Charente-Maritime, with the aim of promoting ecological and environmentally friendly navigation, while offering cruises and training on board.

Equipment and comfort on board
The Albarquel can accommodate up to 28 passengers at sea and 50 passengers at dock. Its solid wood fittings include:
