A powerful cruise-regatta sailboat in perfect conditions of maintenance and originality. Suitable for regattas of classic fiber and for high cruises.
In his 20 years of scarce professional career, Bill Tripp Jr. (***.***.******) gave very clear samples of genius and taste for innovation. Its designs are characterised by the short cabin in the form of torretta, often aerodynamic, the noticeable arch of the deck, with a height of amuras superior to the normal then, to maintain acceptable heights inside. Very remarkable launches and threads that fly airy keeping the cover sufficiently protected. In stern the launch gives floating in portants. Bill Tripp also specialised in the then new fiberglass technology. The relatively long and very fruitful collaboration of Tripp with the Columbia Yachts shipyard began in the middle of the Sixty Years with a wide range of boats ranging from 20 to 57 feet. Precisely the Columbia 52 was Bill Tripp's last design before the fatal car accident that ended his life. The first unit of the seven that built the shipyard was called Tribute, in honor of his recently deceased designer. The Columbia 52 incorporate all the typical features of Bill Tripp: the short cockpit in turret, aerodynamic and elegantly riveted in varnished wood, the clear and accessible deck, the airy bow that rivets a very elegant ruffle, the wide and launched stern, suitable to favor portant navigations, the deep and protected bathtub. The spacious and elegant interior, with many bunk beds and only two luxurious cabins, each with its own sink are also typical ingredients of Bill Tripp's genius. The Fatima is in excellent conditions of originality. Its shipper has kept it in perfect condition of navigability, adding a modern electronics, a completely revised engine on recent dates and with few hours since. Velas and cabulleria, batteries and chargers: everything has been recently revised or replaced and the Fatima is ready to sail at any time, without having lost its original romance.
